Job Description
The duties of the Field Technician shall include installing, maintaining and troubleshooting Babtel's Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) Satellite Internet and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) systems at approximately six (6) customer locations at LSA Anaconda in Balad, Iraq. The Field Technician shall install , 1.2 M VSAT Antennas and configure: CISCO 800 Series routers, Linux based QoS routers, and CISCO IP Phones as well as perform any system repairs, maintenance and upgrades.Specific duties also include: troubleshooting problems with prepaid cards used at Babtel's coinless phone booths; generating prepaid cards electronically; collecting money for prepaid card sales; accounting for funds and remitting funds daily via Western Union to Babtel headquarters in the USA.

The Field Technician should reflect an accurate and real world view of existing voice and data systems, and have excellent skills in resolving desktop computing issues, developing, installing and maintaining technical infrastructure at major customers' sites throughout Iraq and such other duties and projects as may be assigned by Babtel.
