Job Description

Closing date for applications is the 13 February 2024.

Rotation: 06 weeks on, 06 weeks off

  • Advise on intelligence requirements and needs within the Company operating area.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the demographics, networks and political affiliations across Iraq and in the operating area.
  • Work closely with other Control Risks’ analytical personnel to collate data and share information.
  • Maintain currency of incident databases and input data in a consistent and timely way.
  • Establish, develop and maintain security information contacts in project areas of Basra and broader Iraq.
  • Oversee all journey management pertaining to APT operations in support of clients, whilst keeping direct links to the BAOC / BSOC.
  • Utilise existing sources of information and resources to support consultancy enquiries for clients including the production of bespoke reports.
  • Advise and facilitate the production of specific mapping and overlay products as directed.
  • Participate in applicable security risk assessments that impact on Company operations.
  • Maintain relevant mapping and overlays to support threat assessments (including applicable software to allow this to occur Google Earth Pro, or equivalent)
  • Steward all Company evacuation route threat assessments and related updates.

Requirements

Essential

  • Good inter-personal skills coupled with an ability to liaise with relevant sources and agencies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Good IT skills for database management, mapping and presentations.
  • Ability to produce concise and accurate assessments with the ability to use mapping and Microsoft software to produce reports
  • Experience and knowledge of security in the Middle East.
  • Experience of Threat Assessment and Risk Management best practice.

Preferred

  • Previous commercial operational experience as a threat analyst in Iraq working for a government, non-government or IOC organization
  • Knowledge of Arabic.
  • Experience of the oil and gas industry.
