Budget and Planning Control Analyst

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for effective budget planning and spending. Also, reviews budget proposals and analyses of data to determine the correct allocation of funding.

Job Duties:

• Conduct financial analysis to support project planning and decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with overall financial objectives.

• Utilize project management tools and software (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft Project) to create project schedules, track progress, and monitor resource allocation.

• Develop and maintain project financial plans, including cost estimates, revenue projections, and cash flow analysis.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and identify budgetary needs for each project phase.

• Monitor project financial performance, analyzing variances between actuals and planned budget, and providing insights on cost control measures.

• Participate in project status meetings, providing financial updates, and assisting with resolving any financial issues or risks.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to create financial reports for projects, highlighting key performance indicators, project profitability, and financial risks.

• Ensure compliance with project accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

• Conduct risk assessments for projects, identifying financial risks and implementing mitigation strategies.

• Support the development and improvement of project management and planning processes, tools, and templates.

• Assist in financial forecasting and scenario analysis for projects, evaluating potential impacts on budgets and financial outcomes.

• Communicate effectively with project teams, stakeholders, and senior management, providing financial insights and recommendations.

• Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in project management and planning.

Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's degree

Years of Experience

1-2 year of experience involving analytical research and planning projects
