The Consultant is a senior project position covering a client contract in the Kurdish Autonomous Region (KAR) of Iraq.
Role tasks and responsibilities
- Conduct full threat and vulnerability assessment of operations in close coordination with the client and Control Risks personnel.
- Drafting and updating of client security plans and documents, including the client accommodation and work site.
- Review and assess existing security arrangements, including physical security precautions, building security, journey management, incident response, evacuation planning and business support.
- In conjunction with the Operations Manager and HSE teams, maintain evacuation, journey management and medical emergency plans.
- Maintaining responsibility of managing security within the client operations and identification of threats.
- Review existing contingency plans and, where appropriate, develop and exercise these under direction and guidance of the client.
Operations Management
- Participate in and coordinate the response to emergency security calls.
- Manage the client tracking system in coordination with the service provider.
- Assist and manage the security implications of upgrades to client facilities.
- Develop and maintain contract Quality Assurance and Quality Capability on client operations.
Requirements
Essential
- Experienced in the methodology and application of physical and personnel security risk measures.
- Must have experience of conceptualising security requirements and translating into formal written documents.
- Be competent in the use of all Windows applications and IT literate.
Preferred
- Previous consultancy knowledge and commercial security experience.
- Experience of working in a commercial organisation.
- Experience of security operations in Kurdistan and/or Iraq.
- Experience of working for Japanese clients.
Qualifications and specialist skills
Essential
- Ability to work alone with a high level of client engagement.
- Previous experience of project security management or in other equivalent fields (military, police, functional operations)
- Security and Risk Management qualification.
Preferred
- Understanding of HSE issues and qualifications.
